Work > Archive: A selection of digital work

The No Place on Earth series is named for Christa Wolf's 1979 novel of the same name (translated from the German Kein Ort. Nirgends by Jan van Heurck). Images were created using a combination of handmade and digital processes. Clay forms were created, broken into fragments, then photographed and reassembled in digital form. All colors used were initially mixed and painted in gouache.

For the Twigs series, using a soft focus and playing with light and scale, twigs and other garden detritus were photographed, and suggestive anthropomorphic forms emerged.
